I create performance art for radio. My shows are about experimentation and language and rebellion, they are not a dance party. I connect disparate subcultures through threads of subversion. The tension of challenging audiences without becoming unlistenable fuels my work.
I collage fragments of underground culture—spoken word, experimental music, sound poetry, DIY recordings, and captured voices—from around the world, spanning the late 20th century to the present. Centering voice and language, I create narratives that illuminate how contemporary issues echo historical struggles. Dark humor and absurdity are used as pressure release valves for rage. These elements combine to generate moments of surprise that disrupt patterns of predictable listening.
Radio is an intimate experience, enabling artistic content to infiltrate everyday life. Using freeform radio as a platform unconstrained by commercialism, I prioritize authentic expression and gender balance, featuring nonconforming artists who confront systems of power. Through my weekly practice and relentless research, I transform radio into a transgressive space where uncompromising voices reimagine our relationship to audio, protest, and collective memory.
